Quatrefolic® at BioEnergyTech seminar
Professor Luca Tiano, Full Professor of Biochemistry and Nutrigenetics and Nutrigenomics at the Marche Polytechnic University, highlighted the unique characteristics of Quatrefolic® and how this innovative folate may be the best choice to support pregnancy and fertility.
Periconceptional and the first period after conception are particularly important for folate supplementation especially because a woman often does not know she is pregnant.
It is recommended that folate levels should be high for at least one month prior to possible conception and continued at that level for the first three months of pregnancy.
Quatrefolic®, the active folate form, can reduce the risk of preterm birth, low birth weight, developmental birth defects, and neural tube defects like spina bifida.
